For temporary access needs in the ZTL of Bitonto, the municipal police may issue temporary permits.

There are two types of permits:

Camera locations

  • via Pasculli and piazza Cavour,
  • piazza Minerva,
  • between via Planelli and via Rodageo,
  • between piazza Cafariello and piazza Cattedrale.

Permitted vehicles

The access ban in the ZTL of Bitonto applies to all types of vehicles, and therefore motorcycles may not enter either unless expressly authorized.

Authorized subjects

The following categories of vehicles may access the ZTL of Bitonto with prior authorization from the Bitonto municipal police:

Vehicles and motorcycles used for police, firefighting services, ambulances and emergency medical vehicles on emergency duty may circulate in the Z.T.L. and A.P. without authorization.

Vehicles used to carry out public utility transport services (scheduled services with a driver, taxis, and chauffeur-driven hire service), vehicles for waste collection and street cleaning, and vehicles carrying out mail collection and distribution, limited to services declared to be of public utility, may circulate in the Z.T.L. without restrictions, while they are subject to the discipline defined from time to time by a specific ordinance regarding the A.P.

Disabled access

The holder must communicate to the Z.T.L. Permit Issuance Office the plates of the vehicles used by them (up to a maximum number of 5), which will be added to the "white list".
