Arona ZTL

Within the municipal territory, 4 areas have been identified and established with different access rules:

yellow zone (via San Carlo gate):
Free access from 07:00 to 20:00 every day

red zone (via Pertossi gate):
no-transit ban 00:00/24:00

green zone (Via Poli gate)
From June 1st until September 30th the ban is in effect

• Monday to Thursday from 20:00 to 06:00
• from Friday at 20:00 to 06:00 on Monday

blue zone (via Garelli gate):
free access from 08:00 to 10:00 and from 15:30 to 17:00 (only stopping, not parking, of vehicles is allowed in P.za San Graziano, exclusively to allow pickup of children from the "Nicotera" school)

There is no differentiation by vehicle type authorized regarding the Arona ZTL established by the Municipality of Arona, and therefore mopeds and motorcycles cannot enter unless expressly authorized.

As for the environmental Arona ZTL, access is prohibited to all vehicles with type-approval prior to Euro 3.

The following are authorized to enter the Arona ZTL:

Vehicles transporting persons with limited or impaired mobility, holding the special permit under D.M. 8/8/1979 no. 1176 and subsequent amendments, may enter the Arona ZTL, but are required to report to the Municipal Police Command for disabled persons, within 7 days of transit, the license plate of the vehicle used on behalf of the holder of the disabled permit.

It is possible to request an exemption authorization for access to the Arona ZTL from the Municipal Police command for documentable, temporary needs deemed worthy of protection.
