TollTracker 3.0 Enters Europe: How We Turned TollTracker into a Global Driving Assistant

From a local helper to a full-fledged European companion – the new version of the app promises peace of mind behind the wheel across Europe, with detailed monitoring of restricted urban zones, cameras, and hazards for every country.

With the upcoming version 3.0, TollTracker is transforming from a local solution into a global driving assistant. TollTracker 3.0 will be a unified platform that works identically in all countries, saving drivers the need to install multiple local apps for every territory.

One Platform for the Entire Continent

The primary focus of TollTracker 3.0 is providing real-time data for critical points on the road. The app collects and visualizes information regarding:

  • Fixed speed cameras and red-light cameras.
  • Systems for average speed, which are becoming increasingly common on European highways. The app informs the driver exactly where the sectional control begins and ends.
  • Road hazards such as roadworks, accidents, aquaplaning, or heavy fog.

Urban Zones in Europe

The big news is that TollTracker 3.0 will protect us in cities with restricted access zones.

We are starting with Italy (ZTL) and Germany (Umweltzone), where a single missed sign can result in a fine between €50 and €200. You will now be able to see these restricted zones clearly on the map, and we will be adding new countries and cities with subsequent updates.

Refined Interface and Performance

Alongside the new functionalities, TollTracker 3.0 comes with a refreshed design. The map is optimized for faster performance, and the icons for cameras and restricted zones are designed to be easily recognized with peripheral vision, ensuring the driver is not distracted from the road. The app notifies you of hazards even in background mode, reliably and without delays.

What’s Next?

In parallel with the app, we are entirely updating our new web portal at tolltracker.eu. There, drivers will be able to check current requirements and control systems in the countries along their route even before setting off.

TollTracker 3.0 will be available soon, offering all road alerts for Europe through a single shared subscription.
