New Sections on Sofia–Varna and Ruse–Veliko Tarnovo Routes (29.10.2025)

In recent days, BG TOLL has been adding new sections daily on the Sofia–Varna and Ruse–Veliko Tarnovo routes. In many of them, routes alternate between urban and rural segments, which makes monitoring average speed without measuring instruments extremely difficult and carries a high risk of fines.

The New Sections (29.10.2025)

• Gorna Studena → Peychinovo — Distance: 21.2 km | Time: 14 min | Road: I-3 | Car: 90 km/h | Truck: 80 km/h
• Ryahovtsite → Bogatovo — Distance: 16.9 km | Time: 11 min | Road: I-4 | Car: 90 km/h | Truck: 80 km/h
• Bogatovo → Momin Sbor — Distance: 23.7 km | Time: 17 min | Road: I-4 | Car: 86 km/h | Truck: 77 km/h
• Samovodene → Polikrayshe — Distance: 6.5 km | Time: 6 min | Road: I-5 | Car: 62 km/h | Truck: 59 km/h
• Yagoda → Kazanlak — Distance: 13.2 km | Time: 9 min | Road: I-5 | Car: 85 km/h | Truck: 76 km/h

Why Mixed Sections Are "Tricky"

• Urban/rural alternation: permitted speeds change frequently; a wrong judgment in an urban zone "crushes" the average time.
• Average time is decisive: going faster outside the city doesn't compensate for speeding in a settlement from an average speed perspective.
• Unclear start/end: without precise controls, it's difficult to know where to where is measured.
