Reggio Emilia ZTL

The ZTL of Reggio Emilia operates every day, 24 hours a day.

• from viale Allegri, corso Cairoli, via Mazzini, corso Garibaldi and via Ariosto.

The corridor may be travelled from north to south, i.e. entering from viale Allegri and exiting at porta Castello. On this route, parking by unauthorized vehicles is not permitted, with the sole exception of piazza della Vittoria and the plateatico, where parking is allowed only on 6 March (from 19:00), 24 March (from 18:00) and 27 April 2012 (from 19:00) for performances at the Teatro Municipale Valli (ordinance no. 31 of 2012).

• from via Nobili, via Filippo Re, via Roma. Once on via Roma it is possible to head towards porta Santa Croce or go back up via Roma to via Emilia San Pietro and from there continue towards porta San Pietro, starting from 26 March 2009.

There are 9 automatic access control devices for the ZTL of Reggio Emilia, installed at:

• Viale Allegri at Viale Isonzo (active from 06:00 to 20:00, does not issue fines from 20:00 to 06:00, to leave a night corridor to reach the theatres and for drop-offs in the historic centre. The shutdown will be brought forward on 6 March (from 19:00), 24 March (from 18:00) and 27 April 2012 (from 19:00) for performances at the Teatro Municipale Valli (ordinance no. 31 of 2012).
• Via Nobili at Via Della Veza (active from 06:00 to 20:00, does not issue fines from 20:00 to 06:00, to leave a night corridor for drop-offs in the historic centre.
• Via Roma
• Via Campo Marzio
• Via Guazzatoio
• Via Ludovico Ariosto
• Via Panciroli
• Piazzale Marconi
• Via Del Cristo
• Via Guido da Castello.

This corridor has been active since 26 March 2009 on the Nobili-Filippo RE-Roma Emilia San Pietro routes towards the gate).

• Via Roma in the stretch between Via D. Alighieri and via Cambiatori (active from 06:00 to 20:00, does not issue fines from 20:00 to 06:00, to leave a night corridor for drop-offs in the historic centre. This corridor has been active since 26 March 2009 on the Roma Emilia San Pietro routes towards the gate).
• Via Campo Marzio at Viale Monte Grappa (active 24 hours a day);
• Via Guazzatoio at Viale Monte Grappa (active 24 hours a day);
• Via Ludovico Ariosto at Viale Monte Grappa (active 24 hours a day);
• Via Panciroli at Piazzale Fiume (active 24 hours a day)
• Piazzale Marconi (monitoring of the bus lane near the railway station)
• Via Del Cristo
• Via Guido da Castello.

The access ban for the ZTL of Reggio Emilia applies to all vehicles except bicycles and mopeds, while it is prohibited for motorcycles of non-residents and non-domiciled persons.

Residents are advised to contact the permits office of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia regarding the ZTL of Reggio Emilia for the procedures for issuing the permit.
