The Cecina center ZTL is active 24 hours a day, every day.

The Cecina Mare ZTL is active:

from 1 April to 31 October, every day, 24 hours a day
from 1 November to 31 March
- 24 hours a day on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- from 00:00 to 18:00 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

A temporary access permit for the Cecina ZTL may be requested by those who, for contingent reasons, need to circulate and make a brief stop in the ZTL for a determined period of time, in any case not exceeding three consecutive days, except for any exemptions, or for a maximum of 5 entries within a one-year period from the date of issue.

conferences, meetings, and various events, or activities carried out for charitable purposes relating to the related formalities;
transport of bulky materials by private individuals;
home medical treatment, duly documented, at properties located within the ZTL:
various setup operations
occasional exhibitions and markets
occasional maintenance work on buildings and systems on behalf of Public Bodies and private parties
small craft work (gardening/small masonry work, etc.)
removals (trucks up to 3.5 tonnes)
weddings, limited to the license plate of the newlyweds' and relatives' cars, up to a maximum of 10 vehicles total.
funerals, limited to the license plate of relatives, up to a maximum of 10 vehicles total
other particular cases submitted from time to time to the attention of the Head of Service.

The access ban for the Cecina ZTL applies to all types of motor vehicles, and therefore mopeds and motorcycles may not enter unless expressly authorized.

Vehicles available to persons with disabilities may access the Cecina ZTL; two categories are identified:

residents of the municipality of Cecina (issued pursuant to art. 188 of Legislative Decree 285/1992, art. 381 of Presidential Decree 495/1992, and Presidential Decree 24/07/1996 no. 503), for the purpose of accessing the ZTL areas, with the possibility of parking there for a maximum of 30 minutes, and for whom it is necessary to report up to two license plates which will then be added to the white list;
occasional visitors, where it becomes necessary to access the ZTL with a vehicle other than those reported, the person concerned must, as for persons not resident in the municipality of Cecina, use the specially established toll-free number 800261040, through which they may report the imminent access in advance.

The authorization allows transit and parking

The (CS) category is also assigned to holders of commercial/production activities with an operating base in the ZTL, firms carrying out goods transport professional activity (couriers and similar), agents or sales representatives who need to access the ZTL with a vehicle to transport heavy/bulky samples, or samples of significant economic value. The latter, identified by acts of the Public Security Authority, may obtain the ZTL permit with the possibility of parking near the commercial establishment, provided they do not obstruct or impede free traffic circulation.

The (CS) category also includes craftsmen, natural and legal persons registered in the craftsmen's register, who carry out maintenance, repair, and emergency response activities.
