Alba ZTL

The pedestrian area of Alba is active every day, 24 hours a day.
The night-time ZTL of via Rattazzi is active every day of the week from 20:30 to 05:00 in the morning.

The ban on travel in the ZTL of Alba applies to every type of vehicle, and therefore mopeds and motorbikes may not enter unless expressly authorized.

There are two cases:

• Disabled persons resident in the Municipality of Alba. When submitting the request for the authorization under art. 188 of Legislative Decree no.285 of 30 April 1992, "New Highway Code and subsequent amendments", the applicant indicates the details of the vehicle plate to be registered on a general basis. Registration takes place automatically upon issuance of the authorization. Up to a maximum of two vehicles are registered per authorization issued. If the disabled person holds a driving license and is the registered owner of a vehicle, all vehicles registered to them are recorded.
• Disabled persons resident in other municipalities. Holders of circulation and parking authorizations serving disabled persons issued by municipalities other than the Municipality of Alba who need to access the pedestrian area may request the municipal police to register the vehicle ordinarily used. The request must specify the details of the authorization held by the applicant and the reason for which access to the pedestrian area is needed. In the case of unplanned access without prior registration, holders of authorizations must send, within 72 hours of the access taking place, the duly completed form, downloadable directly from the Municipality of Alba's website. The form may be sent by certified email (PEC), by regular email to the Municipal Police Corps and/or the registry office. Access carried out without following the procedures indicated above is considered unauthorized and results in notification of the details of the violation. The details to be reported to justify access are as follows:
  • name of the disabled person,
  • number and validity of the authorization issued,
  • indication of the municipality that issued it,
  • plate number of the vehicle used for access,
  • declaration that the holder of the authorization was on board the vehicle.
