Privacy

TollTracker is built to protect your privacy. The short version: tracking happens on your device, we don't sell your data, and we don't upload your trips.

On-device processing

  • Your speed and average-speed calculations run on your phone, not on a server.
  • Raw GPS points are kept locally and briefly. Only aggregated trip data is stored, and only on your device — see Trip history.

What we never do

  • We don't sell your data.
  • We don't upload your GPS traces or trip history to the internet.

What does leave your device

  • To show cameras and zones near you, the app asks our servers what's around your current area — this is how you always see up-to-date data. It's a request about a location, tied to your account for access only.
  • Purchases and subscriptions are handled by the App Store and Google Play, not by us directly.
  • If you report a live event (a hazard, mobile camera, etc.), that report — with its location — is shared so nearby drivers can be warned. Reporting is always your choice. See Live alerts & hazards.

Why the app asks for location

Location permission is what makes the warnings possible — without it, TollTracker can't tell when you're approaching a camera or zone. See Set up & first drive for exactly which permissions are needed and why.

Deleting your data

You can delete all trip data from the app settings at any time. Because trips are stored locally, deleting them on your device removes them.

Full policy

This page explains how the app handles data in plain terms. For the formal policy, see the privacy policy linked from tolltracker.eu.
