In the Pedestrian Area, transit is prohibited, except for those authorized, and parking is prohibited from 00:00 to 24:00.

In the Chieri Limited Traffic Zone, transit is prohibited, except for those authorized, and parking is prohibited from 00:00 to 24:00 except for residents without a parking space.

In the Night Limited Traffic Zone, transit is prohibited from 22:00 to 06:00 except for those authorized.

The Moderate Traffic Zone is subject to a moderate and reduced vehicle circulation regime (between 30 and 50 km/h), where most parking spaces are paid.

No distinction is made regarding the type of motor vehicle, and therefore no motor vehicle, including motorcycles, is allowed to enter the Chieri ZTL, unless expressly authorized.

The following categories of vehicles may access without requiring authorization:

• public buses and taxis
• vehicles with the "disabled" permit provided for by art. 188 of the Highway Code
• vehicles of police forces, fire brigade, armed forces
• rescue and emergency vehicles
• vehicles assigned to public administrations and welfare bodies,
• vehicles used for waste collection service
• vehicles in service of civil protection
• representative vehicles of public bodies
• medical emergency, doctors' and first-response vehicles
• roadside assistance vehicles
• snow removal vehicles
• vehicles used for funeral services only while carrying out the service
• night watchmen's vehicles
• vehicles of private security institutes

Anyone with extraordinary needs, who is unable to request the required daily temporary permit because the issuing offices are closed, may still enter provided they notify the Municipal Police Command in writing, within 7 days of entry, of the license plate of the vehicle that entered, together with documentation attesting to the unavoidable and exceptional need to enter the Chieri ZTL.
The same procedure must be followed by holders of disabled permits issued by other Municipalities who are unable to notify at the time, by communicating the license plate of the vehicle that entered via the toll-free number set up for this purpose (Toll-Free Number 800.893959).

Loading/unloading operations within the Chieri ZTL are allowed every weekday (except Saturday) from 07:30 to 10:00 and from 15:00 to 17:00.
If the activity is carried out with vehicles intended for and used exclusively for goods transport, and recognizable as such, no special authorization is required; it is also possible for other types of vehicles owned by companies within the Chieri ZTL to request a permit for loading/unloading goods.
