Sassuolo ZTL

In ZTL 1 and 2 of Sassuolo, from 00:00 to 24:00 every day of the week, the entry, circulation and parking of unauthorized vehicles are prohibited.

• via Clelia at the corner with Piazza Martiri Partigiani;
• via Cesare Battisti at the corner with Piazza Martiri Partigiani.

The access ban to the ZTL of Sassuolo applies to all vehicles, so motorcycles and mopeds may not enter without being specifically authorized.

To prevent damage to the road surface, given its type and, considering the narrowness of the streets forming part of the ZTL, it is prohibited to enter, circulate and park in the ZTL for vehicles with a total laden mass exceeding 6 tonnes, except those carrying out public utility services. Vehicles carrying out removals, or transporting an indivisible load exceeding 6 tonnes, and vehicles that must carry out transport for unavoidable needs, must request proper temporary authorization from the Local Police Command; circulation must take place according to the routes and mandatory procedures defined in each individual authorization.

The following vehicles may access the ZTL of Sassuolo without prior authorization:

Circulation permits are issued in the ZTL of Sassuolo for a period of time ranging between two and three years to the following categories of people:

• Residents and persons domiciled inside the ZTL without a parking space;
• Residents and persons domiciled inside the ZTL with a parking space;
• Business owners with commercial activity inside the ZTL;
• Associations managing initiatives and activities for the Municipality;
• Political parties and non-profit associations;
• Craftsmen with their business based inside the ZTL;
• Craftsmen with their business based outside the ZTL but with emergency call-out service (plumbers, electricians);
• Vehicles used for goods transport;
• Vehicles in the services sector (professional offices, agencies located inside the ZTL);
• Ministers of religion;
• Jewellery representatives, sales agents;
• Security firms;
• Assistance and transport of the sick by relatives or persons designated for this - childcare at the home of persons resident or domiciled inside the ZTL;
• Funeral agencies;
• Vehicles of Administrators;
• Doctors with a surgery in the ZTL;
• Doctors without a surgery in the ZTL on an urgent home visit.

Vehicles used to transport disabled persons as referred to in art. 188 paragraph 1) of Legislative Decree no. 285 of 30/04/92 "New Highway Code" and blind persons in accordance with art. 12 "Special Permit" under Presidential Decree no. 503 of 24/07/96, equipped with an appropriate permit issued by their municipality of residence, may access the ZTL of Sassuolo after reporting the license plate numbers to the Sassuolo Local Police Command.
