This is a single stamped document, issued following an application, to be displayed on the dashboard, issued to those who need to enter the AP or ZTL of the historic center of Rimini for contingent and documented reasons, for a fixed period not exceeding 6 months, or 12 months in the case of private or public building renovation or construction.
For duly documented reasons, daily permits may also be requested. The limits and conditions of use will be defined on each permit.
Such permits are not renewable. When submitting the application, a payment of €5.00 must also be made via postal current account for each permit issued (this is not required for requests for daily permits), and an additional revenue stamp must be attached, which will be affixed to the authorization.
Public administrations and disabled persons are exempt from stamp duty (application and authorization).

In the case of a request for multiple permits, they may be requested cumulatively by indicating, on the appropriate form, the number of permits requested. In this way, only a single revenue stamp needs to be affixed to the request, which will include several sheets (one for each license plate), and as many revenue stamps as the permits requested must be handed over.

Permits issued for the following activities (weddings excluded) will be issued based on the size and importance of the business, up to a maximum of 8, with the possibility of having 4 in circulation at the same time.
("Business" means the set of activities attributable to a single brand, even if carried out by several self-employed workers, e.g. small independent operators).

Where, in addition to transit, activities are carried out on public land requiring a specific temporary traffic-regulation order, to simplify the procedure, both the circulation permit and the temporary traffic order may be requested together.

For all types of permit, circulation is banned in the following zone:

Piazza Cavour
Corso d'Augusto (in the stretch between Piazza Tre Martiri and Corso Giovanni XXIII)
Piazza Tre Martiri
Via IV Novembre (in the stretch between Piazza Tre Martiri and Via Castelfidardo)
Via Garibaldi (in the stretch between Piazza Tre Martiri and Via Sigismondo).

Activity categories:

medical examinations and therapies;
organization and holding of conferences, meetings, cultural, sporting events and similar;
work related to the construction and renovation of private buildings carried out for users and/or customers resident or domiciled in the AP or ZTL (the permit may be issued for a maximum period of 12 months);
construction and maintenance work on public buildings and facilities carried out for users and/or customers resident or domiciled in the AP or ZTL (the permit may be issued for a maximum period of 12 months);
collection of signatures for referendums, political/union demonstrations, etc.;
weddings (maximum 6 authorizable cars including the photographer);
removals carried out in ways other than those provided for the issuance of a two-year permit;
transport of bulky materials by private individuals

For other duly documented reasons, daily permits may be requested, which will be issued at the time of the request.

The access ban for the ZTL of Rimini applies to all unauthorized vehicles, so mopeds and motorcycles cannot access without a permit.

If they transit the ZTL of Rimini occasionally, they may be exempted after the fact upon justifying notification:

(*) Even if over 35 quintals, two-year permit + notification of transit in the AP or ZTL
to the Permits Office by fax each time.

(*2) In the case of an occasional stop, with justifying notification, these may be justified after the fact.

The following categories may circulate in the ZTL of Rimini with a permit:

Residents
Industrial and craft businesses (bakers, pastry makers) operating in the AP or ZTL or even outside it but delivering to the AP or ZTL for transport of bakery, pastry, ice-cream, pizzeria, delicatessen, pasta-shop products and similar with vehicles up to 35 quintals.
Banking and insurance institutions located in the AP or ZTL that have a parking space. One permit per parking space
Owners of companies, entities, associations, professional offices, shops, etc. in the AP or ZTL with a parking space. One permit per parking space.
Doctors with a practice in the AP or ZTL with a parking space
Owners of craft and commercial businesses providing technology services (HVAC technicians, antenna installers, alarm installers, repairers of appliances/photocopiers/IT systems)
Florists based in the AP or ZTL or outside the AP or ZTL who make home deliveries
Sales representatives with heavy and bulky sample cases (to reach customers in the AP or ZTL)
Sales representatives of precious goods (to reach customers in the AP or ZTL)
Companies supplying goods to commercial, craft and professional businesses, including carriers, forwarders, mail and document delivery agencies
Removal activities for customers in the AP or ZTL
Cleaning companies
Healthcare and social-assistance workers on emergency call
Journalists (newspapers, TV outlets, freelancers)
Public employees on duty using their own car due to a shortage of service vehicles
Parents of nursery school children with a school located in the AP or ZTL
Private doctors, under agreement with the National Health Service, providing the Guardia Medica (on-call doctor) service for residents or tourists, using their own car due to a shortage of service vehicles

Holders of a Disability permit may freely transit, stop and park in the ZTL of Rimini.

Parking is banned in the following area:

Piazza Cavour
Corso d'Augusto (in the stretch between Via Brighenti excluded and Corso Giovanni XXIII/Via Verdi excluded)
Piazza Tre Martiri
Via IV Novembre (in the stretch between Piazza Tre Martiri and Via Castelfidardo excluded)
Via Garibaldi (in the stretch between Piazza Tre Martiri and Via Sigismondo).

Additionally, for duly justified cases, to access the ZTL of Rimini continuously, a notification with two-year validity must be submitted, containing up to a maximum of 2 license plates of the vehicles used for transport. In case of a different license plate, the procedure described above must be followed.
