Poggibonsi ZTL

The permanent Poggibonsi ZTL is active 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
The daytime Poggibonsi ZTL is active every day from 14:00 to 20:00.

Without prejudice to the provisions of the Highway Code, the following categories of vehicles are exempt from the ban on transit, stopping, and parking in the Poggibonsi ZTL, excluding the APU:

• bicycles - any parking must take place exclusively in the spaces reserved for them.
• 2, 3, or 4-wheeled mopeds - any parking must take place exclusively in the designated bays reserved for them.
• 2, 3, or 4-wheeled motor vehicles - any parking must take place exclusively in the designated bays reserved for them.

The following vehicles are exempt from complying with the traffic ban in the Poggibonsi ZTL, whether owned, rented, or leased, bearing lettering, logos, coats of arms, or markings that make them identifiable:
a) Municipal Administration;
b) State Police, Carabinieri, Financial Police, Fire Brigade, State Forestry Corps and Armed Forces;
c) State Administrations, Diplomatic and Consular Corps and Embassies, Regions, Provinces, Municipalities
d) ASL, Società della Salute, and Alta Valdelsa Territories Foundation
e) ARPAT
f) emergency response vehicles;
g) buses operating urban and extra-urban local public transport scheduled services and school buses;
h) vehicles assigned to Civil Protection duties;
i) vehicles in social care, health, and funeral service; j) vehicles used for the urgent transport of medicines;

Also exempt from complying with the traffic ban in the Poggibonsi ZTL, with the possibility of parking in designated spaces or according to the general restrictions set out in articles 157 and 158 of the Highway Code, excluding spaces reserved for specific categories, are vehicles owned, rented, or leased by:
a) public service management companies or concessionaires with a specific emblem while carrying out the service;
b) Poste Italiane S.p.A. while carrying out postal service, or other companies performing a similar service; these vehicles must, in any case, be easily and clearly identifiable as such from the outside, through logos, signs, and/or distinctive marks on the bodywork;
c) cash-in-transit vehicles;
d) security institutes;
e) special-use vehicles for towing vehicles for service needs;
f) newspaper and television outlets, bearing lettering or emblems that make them identifiable;
g) taxis and vehicles of chauffeured hire companies bearing lettering or emblems that make them identifiable.

The following categories of users are authorized to transit and park (where this is permitted):
a) citizens resident in the ZTL and/or APU;
b) citizens living in the ZTL and/or APU, provided that: - they are not registered as resident in another area of the Municipality of Poggibonsi; - they use the property located in the ZTL/APU for study or work purposes; - they have the use of the property under a regular lease or loan-for-use agreement, or they own it;
c) family doctors, pediatricians, medical examiners, legal doctors, or other categories of doctors required to make urgent home visits, due to the particular functions they perform;
d) owners of electric vehicles;
e) transport of minors under 14 years of age resident/living in the APU and/or ZTL, or with residents/occupants of the APU and/or ZTL;
f) home care assistance for elderly persons resident in the APU and/or ZTL;
g) holders of a parking space in a private area within the APU and/or ZTL;
h) production, craft, or similar activities based in the APU and/or ZTL;
i) production, craft, or similar activities based outside the APU and/or ZTL;

Vehicles serving persons with disabilities who hold the appropriate permit may access and circulate in the Poggibonsi ZTL as prescribed by art. 188 of the Highway Code and arts. 11 and 12 of Presidential Decree no. 503 of 24 July 1996;
If the permit holder needs to access the ZTL frequently, at the time of issue, or subsequently, they (or their guardian) may submit a self-certification declaration attesting to possession of the permit and the frequent need to access the ZTL.
In the declaration, on the specific form prepared by the Municipal Police Command and downloadable from the municipal website (http://www.comune.poggibonsi.si.it/), the following details must be indicated:
