The ZTL of Pescara is active every day, 24 hours a day.

Via Milano, uphill side (from Via Emilia to Via Trieste) and the whole of Via Emilia is active from 20:00 until 09:00 the following day.

The environmental ZTL of Pescara is active on Sundays and public holidays from 16:00 to 20:00; the z.t.l. is suspended for the Christmas period from 8 December to 6 January.

The following categories of people may be authorized for temporary transit in the ZTL of Pescara:

Vehicles used for the transport of persons who are not self-sufficient undergoing essential and non-deferrable treatments for the care of illnesses or for medical appointments with a booking: transit: by the shortest route; parking: parking is always prohibited. Only stopping is allowed; Temporary Authorization: issued by the Mobility Department; On request, transit by the shortest route and stopping are authorized for vehicles belonging to the following categories in the performance of their duties;

Weddings and ceremonies (temporary authorization issued by the Mobility Department).

Installation of an additional camera to protect the pedestrian area of piazza Muzii is also planned.

The access ban for the ZTL of Pescara applies to all vehicle types, so mopeds and motorcycles cannot access unless expressly authorized.

The following may access without authorization:

bicycles;
electric vehicles.

The following categories of vehicles may access the ZTL of Pescara without needing authorization:

1) Police Forces, Fire Brigade, Emergency and rescue services;

2) Bicycles; Electric vehicles;

3) Vehicles in the service of disabled persons and persons with disabilities (only if holding a permit under art. 381 of Presidential Decree 495/92): parking: in reserved spaces; stopping: for the time strictly necessary for persons with limited or impaired mobility to get on and off;

4) Taxis, hire-with-driver vehicles: stopping: for the time strictly necessary for passengers to get on and off;

6) Funeral vehicles;

7) Vehicles for loading/unloading activities: exclusively cargo-bikes, pedal-assist bicycles, hand carts, electric-powered "shuttle" vehicles. Limited to P.zza Sacro Cuore, from 06:00 to 09:00, for loading/unloading activities, for a maximum of 30 min., all vehicles with a capacity of no more than 35 quintals.

The following categories of persons are authorized to enter the ZTL of Pescara following the regular issuance of an authorization permit:

1) Residents, owners and occupants of residential properties with a registered domicile and lease registered in the ZTL

2) Persons entitled to the availability of a garage, car/motorcycle parking space or courtyard area in which to keep the vehicle (proven by a suitable registered and authorized title) in the ZTL: parking: parking is always prohibited. Only transit by the shortest route to access the indicated location is allowed; -

3) Residents, owners or tenants of a garage or reserved car/motorcycle parking spaces in other ZTLs or streets whose access and/or exit require crossing the ZTL; parking: parking is always prohibited. Only transit by the shortest route to access the indicated location is allowed.

4) Public utility service companies, for access and stationing of vehicles on site, only for emergencies and legal obligations; - Annual permit: issued by the Municipal Police;

5) Vehicles for transport of valuables (e.g. serving banks, transport of precious goods): stopping: for access and stationing of vehicles on site for the time necessary for loading/unloading activities;

8) Vehicles used for the transport of persons who are not self-sufficient undergoing essential and non-deferrable treatments for the care of illnesses or for medical appointments with a booking: transit: by the shortest route; parking: parking is always prohibited. Only stopping is allowed; Temporary Authorization: issued by the Mobility Department; On request, transit by the shortest route and stopping are authorized for vehicles belonging to the following categories in the performance of their duties;

9) Vehicles for home care managed by the ASL or by associations registered in the regional volunteer register; - Annual permit: issued by the Municipal Police;

lO) Weddings and ceremonies (temporary authorization issued by the Mobility Department);

Il) Members of the Italian Federation of Investigators; - Annual permit: issued by the Municipal Police;
