Anyone who, for contingent and duly documented reasons, needs to circulate and park within the ZTL of Matera for a set period of time, and in any case no longer than three months, except for the exceptions indicated in these regulations, may apply for a permit.

a. conventions, conferences and various events, or activities carried out for charitable purposes with respect to their related requirements;

b. transport of bulky materials by private individuals;

c. medical visits and/or therapies, duly documented, for people or animals at practices located within the Z.T.L., with the possibility of parking for a maximum of three hours;

d. construction and maintenance work on buildings and facilities on behalf of Public Bodies and private parties, subject to a declaration in lieu of a sworn statement regarding:

• Letter of appointment from the client or building permit

• Registration with the C.C.I.A.A. (Chamber of Commerce)

• Vehicle details

• Duration of the contract (the permit's duration will match that of the building permit/license or start-of-activity declaration).

For all vehicles with a fully loaded weight exceeding 35 quintals, no circulation permits will be issued; instead their license plates will be entered directly into the list of authorized vehicles, under the exemption to Ministerial Order no. 18067 of 03/06/1980, forwarded to the Multimedia Center by the Urban Roads Office of the Municipality of MATERA. e. signature collection in relation to the provisions of current electoral and/or referendum legislation and/or citizen participation in political life;

f. weddings or funerals, up to a maximum of 6 authorizable vehicles, including the one available to the photographer;

g. house removals (lasting less than a day).

Motorcycles and mopeds are allowed to pass through the ZTL of Matera only, excluding parking, which is subject to the currently applicable Highway Code.
