Sirmione ZTL

The ZTL of Sirmione is active every day, 24 hours a day.

The ban on transit in the ZTL of Sirmione applies to every type of vehicle, so mopeds and motorcycles may not enter unless expressly authorized.
Access and transit are also always prohibited for vehicles having:

• height exceeding 2.70 metres;
• width exceeding 2.20 metres;
• length exceeding 6.00 metres (including combinations);
• total laden mass exceeding 3.5 tonnes, extendable up to 4.00 t for insulated vans with a refrigeration unit for transporting food.

• vehicles used for public services or of public interest, for service reasons and actual necessity and for the time strictly necessary to carry out their functions, reported to the ZTL Traffic Office;
• vehicles serving persons with limited or impaired mobility, displaying the appropriate permit referred to in art. 381 of the Regulations for the implementation of the Highway Code, reported to the ZTL Traffic Office;
• Police, Carabinieri, Local Police, Financial Police, Fire Brigade, rescue vehicles, any Military Vehicles, security firms or Sworn Security Guards with wording printed/silk-screened on the outside of the vehicle or with an appropriate sign;
• vehicles used for road maintenance, signage, public lighting systems, only in the case of specific works in the area in question, with wording printed on the outside of the vehicle, reported to the ZTL Traffic Office;
• vehicles of Public Bodies and, as such, only if identifiable with wording printed/silk-screened on the outside of the vehicle or with an appropriate sign, only in the case of specific works in the area in question, reported to the ZTL Traffic Office;
• armoured cash-transport vehicles, only in the case of specific operations in the area in question with wording printed/silk-screened on the outside of the vehicle and reported to the ZTL Traffic Office;
• hearses for transporting coffins;
• vehicles used for taxi rank services with driver (taxi) and vehicles for transporting up to a total of nine people in chauffeur-driven hire service (NCC), to accompany or collect residents registered as such, or persons staying or residing in accommodation facilities in the historic centre (reported to the ZTL Traffic Office;
• vehicles of the companies awarded contracts for maintenance services of municipal facilities, reported to the ZTL Traffic Office;
• vehicles of the company awarded the contract for goods transport services in the historic centre, in accordance with the contract specifications, reported to the ZTL Traffic Office;
• vehicles of general practitioners on home visits displaying the special permit, reported to the ZTL Traffic Office.

• Residents registered in the historic centre;
• Persons residing there;
• Employees housed inside the ZTL;
• Employees of businesses in the historic centre located north of Piazza D.A. Piatti,
• Craftsmen;
• Suppliers;
• Business owners;
• Guests of accommodation facilities.

• SUMMER PERIOD (starting from the Monday fourteen days before Easter) Access and transit with motor vehicles on weekdays from 06:00 to 09:00 with mandatory exit by 09:30
• WINTER PERIOD (starting from the 15th of October) Access and transit with motor vehicles on weekdays from 06:00 to 10:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00.
