Melegnano ZTL

There are 4 video-monitored access points connected to the electronic system database for the Melegnano ZTL, located at:

• via Dezza,
• via Biggioggero,
• via Predabissi,
• via Castellini

The access ban to the Melegnano ZTL applies to all vehicles, and therefore motor vehicles and mopeds cannot access without a permit.

As an exemption to the ban, circulation is permitted in the Melegnano limited traffic zone (ZTL) for the following vehicles, with the methods and restrictions indicated below:

a) PRIVATE VEHICLES OWNED BY RESIDENTS OF THE LIMITED TRAFFIC ZONE.
Motor vehicles, cars and mopeds of citizens resident in the individual homogeneous zones into which the ZTL has been divided will be authorized to circulate only within that same homogeneous zone. This authorization, issued by the Local Police, will allow entry, exit and circulation along the route indicated on the authorization itself.
b) PUBLIC SERVICE VEHICLES.
Without any authorization, the following public service vehicles may transit and park within the perimeter of the ZTL, in strict compliance with the current provisions of the Highway Code:
military and public force vehicles;
public transport vehicles;
emergency response and emergency vehicles;
vehicles registered to public bodies and companies or firms providing public services;
vehicles of private security firms and valuables transport, limited to services carried out within the ZTL area;
medicine transport vehicles;
doctors on home visits, who must regularize the transit within 48 hours;
c) vehicles serving disabled persons holding the appropriate permit;
d) upon presentation of appropriate documentation, vehicles whose owners, although not resident in the ZTL area, own or lease garages or parking spaces, as well as vehicles used or leased by residents;
e) circulation exemption permits may also be issued in the case of proven and documented urgent and non-deferrable needs, which will be examined and assessed by the competent bodies
