Germany's automated enforcement system, known as "Blitzers", uses high-frequency radar and inductive-loop sensors to enforce speed limits. From stationary Starenkasten towers to covert mobile units, TollTracker tracks 4,500+ active verification points across the country.
A green Plakette is required around the clock in all 35 active Umweltzonen, and parking inside counts the same as driving in: €100, or €128.50 with fees, and no licence points. Motorways crossing a zone are exempt, so you can pass through without a badge.
