Much of Czechia's fixed speed enforcement is run by towns, at places the police approve, alongside police radar on every class of road. Motorways and expressways need an electronic vignette, and the alcohol limit is zero.
Towns install most fixed speed and red-light cameras, often on through roads, and some time average speed over a section (úsekové měření). A camera offence is charged to the vehicle's keeper, who can settle it with a fixed sum within 30 days, for example CZK 1,250 for 20 km/h over in town.
