Navigate with TollTracker
TollTracker has turn-by-turn navigation built in. Search a destination, look the route over before you commit to it, and drive it without leaving the app that is already watching the road for you.
You don't have to use it
Navigation is optional. If you would rather keep Google Maps or Apple Maps, nothing changes: TollTracker still runs alongside them and warns you exactly the same way. See Works with your nav app.
1. Pick a destination
Tap the search field on the map and enter what you're looking for:
- a place or business name
- a street address
- GPS coordinates, pasted straight into the search box
You can also skip search entirely:
- Long-press anywhere on the map to drop a pin.
- Tap a place already on the map and choose to navigate to it.
Recent destinations are kept on your device so the next trip to the same place is one tap. Clear them any time from the search screen.
2. Check the destination
Before any route is calculated, TollTracker shows a destination panel: the pin on the map, the name and address, the straight-line distance, and the exact coordinates. From here you can share the location, open it in Google Maps, or report a problem at that spot.
Tap View route when you're happy with the destination.
3. Preview the route
The route preview is where you decide whether to actually drive it. It shows:
- Arrival time and total distance
- Traffic on the route line itself, coloured light, moderate or heavy
- What's on the route — how many speed cameras, average-speed sections, restricted zones and live reports you will pass
- Toll prices, via the Calculate tolls link (fetched on request, not on every route, so it costs nothing when you don't need it)
Route options
Open Options in the preview to avoid:
- Tolls
- Motorways
- Ferries
- Unpaved roads
Your choices are remembered and applied to future routes until you change them. The preview tells you which of them the current route actually honours.
4. Drive it
Tap Start and guidance begins:
- A maneuver panel with the next turn and the distance to it
- Lane guidance, where the road data supports it
- Roundabout guidance drawn from the real exit angle, not just the exit number
- Your current speed and the speed limit, exactly as outside navigation
- Every TollTracker alert keeps firing the whole way
If you leave the route, TollTracker recalculates within a few seconds. If you miss the moment, the destination pin stays on the map for a couple of minutes after you arrive, so you can still find it while you look for parking.
Tap End navigation at any time to stop guidance and clear the route.

Good to know
- Navigation needs a data connection, like the rest of the app. Offline routing is not available.
- Guidance today is visual: the maneuver panel, the lane ribbon and the map. Spoken turn instructions are not part of it yet. Your alert voice warnings are unaffected and keep working normally.
- Only one route is offered per destination. Alternative-route choice is not available yet.
