For unpostponable and urgent needs or interventions that cannot otherwise be scheduled, the Municipal Police Command, upon request — even verbal — from the person concerned, may issue a provisional permit for access to the ZTL of Aosta, valid for the time strictly necessary to carry out the operations in question.

Where, due to justified needs, a transit and/or parking permit is requested for vehicles with a fully laden mass exceeding 3.5 t, a specific application must be submitted to the responsible municipal office, for the preparation of the necessary administrative documents.

Transit and/or parking permits for vehicles accompanying weddings to be celebrated in places of worship located within the ZTLs of Aosta may be issued for no more than three vehicles.

If the wedding is celebrated at the Civic Palace, no more than three vehicles may be authorized to travel and park in Piazza Chanoux, for the duration of the ceremony.

On the back of the permit are the requirements the driver must comply with while traveling and/or parking in the ZTLs of Aosta.

Such permits must be kept by the holder for a period of 150 days from the expiry date.

There is no differentiation between vehicle types authorized to access the ZTL of Aosta, and therefore mopeds and motorcycles may not enter unless explicitly authorized.

There is, however, an obligation to travel at a maximum speed of 20 km/h.

The following are authorized to enter the ZTL of Aosta:

Access to the ZTL of Aosta is always permitted for vehicles serving persons with limited mobility.

If transit through an entrance on streets or squares monitored by video-surveillance equipment takes place with a vehicle bearing a registration plate different from those previously reported, the supporting documentation referred to in art. 14 must be submitted to the Municipal Police Command within 10 days of the entry taking place.

Be- / Entladen

a) RESIDENTS registered within the ZTLs: from 04:00 to 10:30 and from 19:30 to 22:30 on the streets and squares of residence, exclusively following the route indicated on the permit. One authorization is issued per household, with a maximum number of permits equal to the number of household members holding a valid driving license and registered as vehicle owners;
b) PRIVATE CARE FOR ELDERLY RESIDENTS: from 04:00 to 10:30 and from 19:30 to 22:30 on the streets and squares of residence of the person being cared for, exclusively following the route indicated on the permit. One authorization is issued per household with registered residency within the ZTLs, provided the household includes at least one person over 65 years of age and the entire household lacks its own vehicle and/or driving license. A maximum of 2 permits will be issued for the vehicles identified by the above-mentioned persons.
