The access ban in the ZTL of Volterra applies to all vehicles, and therefore motorcycles and mopeds may not enter without a permit.

The request form is available on the following page of the Municipality of Volterra.
It must be filled in, signed by the driver, and sent by email (Volterra municipal police) or fax (0588 85644), or submitted directly, to the P.M. command, attaching a copy of the vehicle's registration document for the vehicle transiting the ZTL, a copy of the current disability permit, also indicating the day and time of entry and exit from the ZTL, as well as the reason for transit.
It is also noted that at every gate of the ZTL of Volterra there is a sign showing the toll-free number 800865635 to call to request the permit by phone.
