Access to the limited traffic zones of Como is always allowed through a permit, for the following categories of vehicles (please note that particular access rules apply to each of them, to be consulted on the Como municipality website):

• Residents, and non-residents, holders of a parking space
• Residents without a parking space
• Commercial Agents
• Persons with limited or no motor capacity
• Vehicles with a fully-loaded mass not exceeding 5 t. used for supplying public and commercial establishments with an internal combustion engine
• Guests of accommodation facilities
• Doctors
• Staff belonging to associations or volunteer organizations operating in care services whose assisted persons reside in the ZTL of Como
• Vehicles used for the transport of valuables, perishable goods and home delivery of basic necessities
• Vehicles belonging to the Public Administration used for institutional purposes
• Emergency response
• Cleaning companies
• Media operators
• Construction work
• Postal services
• Users not included in the previous categories

The following categories of vehicles are exempt from the obligation to request authorization for access to the ZTL of Como:

This regulation applies exclusively to vehicles with a fully-loaded mass not exceeding 3.5 t.
