Iesi ZTL

The Jesi ZTLs are active 24 hours a day, every day.

In the "total pedestrian island" a pedestrian area is established from 00:00 to 24:00 every day, reserved for pedestrian transit and closed to the circulation and parking of all vehicles

• Via Andrea da Jesi (San Pietro ZTL entrance)
• Porta Bersaglieri (Pergolesi ZTL entrance)
• Corso Matteotti (Matteotti ZTL entrance)

There is no differentiation between types of authorized vehicles regarding the ZTL established by the municipality of Jesi, and therefore motorcycles and mopeds, if not authorized, may not enter.

Drivers of the following vehicles are authorized, without the issue of any permit, to transit and park for justified service needs in the Limited Traffic Zones of Jesi, and must in any case report the vehicle's license plate:

• buses or minibuses on urban service,
• taxis and chauffeured hire vehicles for service reasons,
• ambulances,
• Armed Forces vehicles,
• Police Corps vehicles (Municipal Police, State Police, Carabinieri, Financial Police, Forestry Corps, Judicial Police vehicles with civilian cover plates, Prison Police, Provincial Police),
• Fire Brigade vehicles,
• Security Institute vehicles,
• vehicles of the locally competent Health Authority for service reasons,
• vehicles used for postal service,
• hearses with their funeral procession,
• urban hygiene and separate waste collection vehicles, in possession of documentation proving the need for maintenance and on-call service,
• Public Notices vehicles, School buses, Road signage vehicles carrying out their services,
• vehicles of Public Bodies that need, for service reasons, to transit and/or park in the ZTL,
• trucks or vehicles used for transport, in accordance with current regulations, by vendors on public land, identified by the relevant commercial authorization, on fair days, and by holders of market stalls on the streets and squares of the Via Pergolesi ZTL, on market days only, from 07:00 to 15:00, who will be granted parking in designated spaces which, in the judgment of the Municipal Police Command, do not obstruct the circulation of vehicles, pedestrians, and emergency vehicles.

Two-year authorizations for access to the Jesi ZTL, issued upon submission of a stamped application, may be granted to the following parties:

• Residents - Occupants
• Owners or tenants, even free of charge, of garages and internal areas
• Sales agents and representatives
• Representatives of valuables
• Credit institutions
• Doctors
• Court bailiffs, collection officers, and judicial authorities

Authorizations of less than one year's duration, issued upon payment of a fee of 2.00 Euro, may be granted to the following parties:

• Craftsmen and firms
• Private television and radio operators
• Those accompanying children to School
• Those accompanying children to Gym facilities
• Those who must attend Ceremonies - Events - Religious rites - Medical visits

The following parties, exempted by Municipal Regulation from the requirement to obtain authorization for transit in the ZTLs, are nonetheless obliged to report their vehicle's license plate:

If a vehicle other than those reported is used, its license plate must be reported.

If the license plate has never been reported, this must be done by filling in the attached form and sending it by fax to number 0731 538330 or by ordinary mail to the Municipality of Jesi - One-Stop Services Office - Piazza Spontini 8 - 60035 Jesi.

If access is made with a vehicle other than the one previously reported, or if the disabled person is not resident in Jesi, the license plate must be reported before entering the ZTL to the toll-free number: 800.801.762

Access is in any case subject to reporting the license plate using the appropriate form.

• Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 13:30
• Thursday afternoon from 15:30 to 18:30 (Thursday afternoon closed from 1 July to 31 August)
• Saturday from 09:30 to 12:30
