Vercelli ZTL

There are 7 video-monitored access points connected to the electronic database of the ZTL of Vercelli, located at:

• corso Libertà,
• via Fratelli Garrone,
• via Veneto (close to the former Viotti cinema),
• via Laviny at the corner with via Nigra,
• via Gioberti,
• via Foa
• Via Crispi

The access ban for the ZTL of Vercelli applies to all vehicles, so motorcycles and mopeds cannot enter without a permit.

The following vehicles are authorized to travel in the ZTL of Vercelli:

The procedures for access to the limited traffic zone (ZTL OF VERCELLI) for vehicles serving disabled persons, for access in emergency situations, and for any other access related to extraordinary circumstances, are classified into three types:

• DISABLED PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF VERCELLI. When submitting the request for the authorization referred to in art. 188 of Legislative Decree 30 April 1992, no. 285, "New Highway Code and subsequent amendments", the applicant provides the plate details of the vehicle to be registered generally. Registration takes place automatically when the authorization is issued. Only one vehicle is registered per authorization issued. If the disabled person holds a driving licence and owns a vehicle, all vehicles registered to them are registered.
• DISABLED PERSONS RESIDENT IN OTHER MUNICIPALITIES WHO REGULARLY ACCESS THE LIMITED TRAFFIC ZONE OF VERCELLI. Holders of an authorization for circulation and parking serving disabled persons issued by municipalities other than the Municipality of Vercelli, who for work reasons or other justified and specified needs need to access the city's limited traffic zone regularly and/or frequently, may request the Municipal Police Department register the vehicle ordinarily used, on a general basis. The request must specify the details of the authorization held by the applicant and the reasons why they need to regularly access the limited traffic zone; the relevant form can be downloaded directly from the Municipality of Vercelli's website.
• DISABLED PERSONS RESIDENT IN OTHER MUNICIPALITIES WHO OCCASIONALLY ACCESS THE LIMITED TRAFFIC ZONE OF VERCELLI. Holders of authorizations for circulation and parking serving disabled persons, issued by municipalities other than the Municipality of Vercelli, who occasionally access the city's limited traffic zone must, before accessing, call the toll-free number 800 177 720 shown on the required sign and follow the instructions given by the operator or automated system. Alternatively, the person concerned must send, within 48 hours of the access, the form fully completed in all its parts, which can be downloaded directly from the Municipality of Vercelli's website. The form must be sent by email or fax to the number shown on it. Access occurring without following the above procedures is considered unauthorized and results in notification of the offence. The details to be communicated to justify the access are as follows: name of the disabled person, number and validity of the authorization issued, the issuing municipality, plate number of the vehicle used for access, declaration that the authorization holder was on board the vehicle.

The same procedures must be followed for access made with vehicles other than the one generally registered, even if the disabled person holds an authorization issued by the Municipality of Vercelli.

A photocopy of documentation proving the delivery took place must be attached to the form.
