In Turin, from 07:30 to 10:30 on all weekdays (Saturday excluded), driving and parking are prohibited inside the area known as ZTL Centrale di Torino.
As for the ZTL Area Romana, this is:
- closed to traffic and parking from 21:00 to 07:30 the following day, every day, including public holidays;
- in Piazza Emanuele Filiberto the ban is active from 19:30 to 07:30 the following day.
As for the ZTL di Torino public transport zone, this is closed to traffic and parking from 07:00 to 21:00 every day, including public holidays.
The pedestrian areas are closed to traffic and parking 24 hours a day, every day, including public holidays.
The ZTL di Torino del Valentino is closed to traffic and parking from 00:00 to 24:00 every day, including public holidays.

If a circulation permit is required, the vehicle must have at least one of these characteristics:
- EURO 3 approval or higher
- gas, methane, LPG power, or a mono- or bi-fuel electric engine, even if converted after registration
As for mopeds and motorcycles, they may enter except on via Rossini and via Pietro Micca.
Bicycles may circulate freely inside the ZTL Centrale di Torino, the ZTL di Torino Area Romana, and the ZTL di Torino Aree Pedonali, but not on streets and lanes reserved for public transport.

The following categories of vehicles are exempt from requiring a circulation permit in the ZTL centrale di Torino:
- mopeds and light quadricycles (microcars), if Euro 1, 4-stroke;
- motor vehicles, if Euro 1, 4-stroke;
- Car Sharing vehicles (and other vehicles intended for the alternative person-transport services set up by the City to promote sustainable mobility initiatives) bearing a distinctive sign;
- vehicles of Security Institutes holding a prefectural license, identified by clear markings on the bodywork, while carrying out a service in the Limited Traffic Zone;
- vehicles of concessionaires of essential public services carrying out their respective services (postal, telecommunications, water and energy supply services), identified by clear symbols affixed to the bodywork;
- vehicles of public institutional entities carrying out the institutional activities referred to in paragraph 5-bis of Art. 201 of the Highway Code, identified by ministerial decree;
- vehicles of parties contracted by the City of Turin for the paper recycling collection service (Cartesio Project);
- vehicles of parties contracted by the City of Turin for the cleaning and minor maintenance of the City's public restrooms;
- vehicles of the Diplomatic Corps bearing distinctive signs;
- vehicles for the collective transport of persons permanently operating within the Municipality of Turin, whose activity is clearly identifiable from the outside;
- tanker trucks used to supply heating fuel or fuel to buildings or distribution facilities located in the Limited Traffic Zone;
- service vehicles of public bodies (State, Region, Province, Municipality and their consortia, Metropolitan Cities, unions and associations) which have their headquarters, even decentralized, in the Municipality of Turin, identified by clear symbols affixed to the bodywork;
- vehicles of Companies controlled by the City of Turin, identified by clear symbols affixed to the bodywork;

The following categories of vehicles are exempt from requiring a circulation permit on via Pietro Micca and via Rossini:
- vehicles of public institutional entities carrying out the institutional activities referred to in paragraph 5-bis of Art. 201 of the Highway Code, identified by ministerial decree;
- vehicles of parties contracted by the City of Turin for the paper recycling collection service (Cartesio Project);
- vehicles of parties contracted by the City of Turin for the cleaning and minor maintenance of the City's public restrooms;
- vehicles of the Diplomatic Corps bearing distinctive signs;
- Car Sharing vehicles (and other vehicles intended for the alternative person-transport services set up by the City to promote sustainable mobility initiatives) bearing a distinctive sign;
- AMIAT vehicles, exclusively when carrying out cleaning services and whose function and purpose in performing a public service is evident;
- assistance and maintenance vehicles of G.T.T. Spa and 5 T Srl, identified by clear markings on the bodywork;
- vehicles of postal service concessionaires, identified by clear symbols affixed to the bodywork;
- vehicles used for public stray-animal capture and carcass removal services;

- emergency vehicles belonging to State Police bodies, the Fire Department, Turin Municipal Police, Health Services and Civil Protection, identified by institutional markings;
- hire-with-driver vehicles and taxis whose service originates or ends in the Pedestrian ZTL;
- vehicles used for public stray-animal capture and carcass removal services;

The following types of permits are available:
Mozgáskorlátozottak behajtása
The disability permit (also known as the H permit) must be used solely and exclusively by the permit holder.
A license plate declaration is available for residents of Turin (up to 2 plates).
Holders of a disability permit issued by another municipality who frequently travel to the City may access the ZTL di Torino by providing justification for the request (employer's declaration, etc.) and registering the license plates (maximum 2) of the vehicles they use, on which their disability permit will be displayed.
This will allow them to avoid the after-the-fact exemption procedure. A license plate declaration form is available for residents outside Turin.
