  • Friday and days preceding public holidays, from 20:00 to midnight;
  • Saturday from 17:00 to midnight;
  • Sunday and public holidays, from 11:00 to midnight.

The camera-monitored access points connected to the electronic system database of the Siracusa ZTL are located at:

• Santa Lucia, corner of riva della Darsena
• via Vittorio Veneto, corner of largo Forte San Giovannello
• via dei Mille, corner of piazza Pancali.

The access ban for the Siracusa ZTL applies to all cars and motorcycles.

Transit in the ZTL is also not permitted for the following categories:

• vehicles whose fully laden weight exceeds 3.5 t and whose height exceeds 3.00 m; authorizations may only be issued for exceptional, duly justified reasons, following a formal request submitted to the Municipal Police Command, subject to obtaining the opinion of the Historic Centre Department

• vehicles without a blue emissions sticker

• tourist buses

The following transit and park in the Siracusa ZTL without a specific PASS:

• Vehicles serving disabled persons authorized by this municipality under Article 381 of Presidential Decree No. 495 of 16/12/1992
• public transport vehicles (Scheduled buses - Shuttle buses, Taxis and N.C.C. licensed by the Municipality of Siracusa)
• vehicles of Bodies/Companies providing a public service, provided they bear a visible identification logo from the outside (Poste Italiane, AUSL, ENEL, TELECOM, AST, etc.)
• tow trucks for the removal of illegally parked vehicles in these areas, funeral hearses in service,
• security firms, vehicles equipped for valuables transport heading to banking institutions located in the ZTL, exclusively on the routes strictly necessary to reach their destination, provided they bear a visible identification logo from the outside;
• horse-drawn carriages, bicycles and electric vehicles; for the latter, if fitted with a plate, the plate number must be notified in advance to the Municipal Police Command.

The following may access the Siracusa ZTL with a specific PASS:

Transit and parking with a specific temporary PERMIT in the Siracusa ZTL

• vehicles used for photo shoots, filming, etc.
• vehicles used for cultural, food, sporting events, etc.
• vehicles used on the occasion of weddings, ceremonies, etc.
• vehicles used to carry out house moves
• vehicles used to transport bulky items

Entry into the ZTL must be reported to the Municipal Police Command; this notification may also be made afterwards, within 48h of access, using the toll-free number 800632328.
