Lanciano ZTL

In the Limited Traffic Zones (Lanciano ZTL) in the Civitanova-Sacca and Lancianovecchia districts, traffic, except for cases of exemption and the authorization arrangements set out in the municipal regulations, is banned from 13:00 to 16:00 and from 20:00 to 09:00 the following day.

In the Limited Traffic Zone (Lanciano ZTL) in the Borgo district, traffic, except for cases of exemption and the authorization arrangements set out in the municipal regulations, is banned from 14:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday, and from 20:00 to 07:00 the following day.

In the Limited Traffic Zone (Z.T.L.) of Corso Trento e Trieste, Piazza Plebiscito and Via Monte Maiella, traffic is banned from 00:00 to 24:00 for all categories of vehicles, excluding Police Force vehicles, the Fire Brigade, the Armed Forces, Civil Protection, as well as ambulances and, generally, vehicles engaged in emergency operations.

In the Lanciano ZTL, traffic is banned for all unauthorized vehicles; the following categories of vehicles may therefore circulate even without authorization:

• motorcycles,
• two-wheeled mopeds,
• bicycles.

Inside the Lanciano ZTL, the following vehicles may circulate without restrictions or obligations:

• the State Police,
• the Carabinieri,
• the Financial Police (Guardia di Finanza),
• the Municipal Police,
• the Provincial Police,
• the Forestry Police,
• the Prison Police,
• the Fire Brigade,
• the Armed Forces,
• Civil Protection,
• ambulances,
• vehicles engaged in emergency operations.

School buses may also circulate without needing a permit, on the routes needed to ensure the school transport service, as well as motorcycles and two-wheeled mopeds, bicycles, and vehicles owned by the Municipal Administration and public bodies for service purposes.

Access to the limited traffic zones is also permitted for vehicles serving persons with limited or impaired mobility, subject to the obligation to display the special disabled permit.

The following categories of vehicles may circulate in the Lanciano ZTL after obtaining the necessary authorizations:

• Residents,
• Owners of homes or other properties,
• Healthcare professionals,
• Emergency response services,
• Professional practices based inside the Lanciano ZTL,
• vehicles used for non-scheduled public services,
• taxis and chauffeur-driven hire vehicles,
• Poste Italiane vehicles,
• companies that deliver postal items.

Access to the Lanciano ZTL is also permitted for vehicles serving persons with limited or impaired mobility, subject to the obligation to display the special disabled permit.

• Permit no.,
• Date of issue and municipality,
• Expiry date,
• Vehicle plate no.,
• Access gate and time.

Vehicles used for the transport of goods or mixed use may access the Lanciano ZTL, upon issuance of a temporary authorization, limited to from 09:00 to 11:00 and from 16:30 to 18:30, to allow loading and unloading of goods, equipment and materials.
